The primary function of this position is to increase market share by improving the company profile in the market place by promoting our Service and Products. The jobholder is a key contributor to the organisation’s goal of providing the highest quality service to customers.Core Daily Responsibilities · Develops business growth strategy in liaison with their Regional Manager, to increase business volume and raise company profile· Builds new business contacts whilst promoting company product range and service philosophy· Using initiative and business acumen skills to look at alternative ways of selling the company to those brokers who already have a strong allegiance to competitors, with the aim of winning the business· Maintaining and developing brokers within the designated area as well as using networking skills to develop further business opportunities· Seeks out customer/broker feedback on service and product delivery· Robust presentation of broker needs to underwriters to facilitate a smooth transition of application to offer· Offers brokers a pragmatic and common- sense approach to mortgage underwriting· Measures own performance against business volume targets & completion ratios· Representing the organisation at road shows etcCore Weekly Responsibilities· Produces weekly activity reports for their Regional ManagerCore Quarterly Responsibilities· Provide feedback on performance during one to one meetings with Regional ManagerCore General Responsibilities· Understands and works towards the company mission· Delivers results, which meet, agreed customer requirements · Builds effective personal relationships· Actively networks with colleagues across the business and sees overall business picture· Manages business performance and works to achieve team results against planned financial outcomes and business goals· Commits to creating Team Spirit encouraging people to work together and build working relationships· Commits personal time & energy to pursuing improvements and innovations across their business area· Quality focussed – expects nothing less than the highest standards· Motivates and influences people in order to achieve results· Seeks to improve own job performance through continuous learning and self-development· Encourages development of others through coaching and training opportunitiesCriteria Required:The ideal Business Development Manager will be able to demonstrate a proven track history of at least three years experience in business development/account management preferably from a Financial Services/Mortgage /Secured Loan background, someone who is target focussed with excellent interpersonal skills, will be successful in this role. An FSA test pass rate of 90% is also required.Annual Performance GoalsUsing the Company targets as a benchmark, a combination of some or all of the following performance measurements will be used to create individual performance goals· Performance against business volume targets & completion ratios· Quantity & quality of activity (appointments with brokers)After the Performance measurement goals have been set, an annual review will assess the performance standard achieved against target. A performance rating of 1 – 5 will then be awarded which will determine the salary increase due.
