Depending on experience Job type: Permanent Description Over the past 7 years, our client has grown from strength to strength with the demand for its services growing daily. They currently host, maintain and support the Internet activities of over 300 companies with e-commerce solutions. The clients range from SME's to large international companies, local authorities and charitable organisations. Due to its rapid expansion and success, they now need to expand its Ellesmere Port team by the appointment of a 3rd Line Support Analyst to work within the Enterprise Software Development and Support Team.
Successful candidate will be fully trained in our software, systems, and processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced software Support Analyst to make a difference.
We are looking for a person who is driven by solving customer queries with enthusiasm. Duties include: Investigating and resolving support queries Taking responsibility for 3rd line support ticket resolution, including report writing, software development and bug fixing Ensuring quality of work Ensuring deadlines are met, within a timely manner Managing customer queries our help desk system Follow company support, development and configuration management processes
Successful applicants will have:
Skills/Competancies in: 3rd Line Support
Ability to solve problems and fault-find to completion Customer focus Strong communication skills Analytical skills
A good understanding of Java and/or Perl programming languages Strong SQL (preferably MySQL) HTML, JavaScript, JSP
Ability to work on own initiative, both alone and as part of a team
Experience of supporting large enterprise applications would be an advantage
Exposure to: Working in a support team, liaising with developers Full development life cycle
An IDE tool (preferably Eclipse) Version control (preferably CVS or SVN) Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK.
